It’s timely

This week is Thanksgiving in the U.S. and, while many (if not most) on our team and in the community hail from or reside in other geographies, it prompts me to take a moment to express the team’s gratitude.

The commitment, passion and expertise of everyone who’s contributed to Solid continues to amaze. It’s actually a little over fifty days since we launched the Inrupt website with the Solid developer site and it’s been a whirlwind. Thanks for all your questions, feedback, critique and contributions: it’s been most welcome. We’re changing things as fast as we can to make improvements.

I thought you might be interested to see some data points that illustrate how far we’ve come together, from the night of September 28.

• The volume of Solid accounts has rocketed - from a few thousand - to now almost 66,000 newly opened.
• There have been 1200 new Solid community contributors and more than 30 open source developers are already actively building apps on Solid that we know about.
• Solid code repositories have 9660 GitHub stars and almost 890 unique visitors.
• And there are over 60 unique clones of Solid source code.

There’s a long road ahead, but plenty for us all to be happy about.
