Introducing the React SDK for Solid
We’re really excited to kick off the release cycle of Inrupt’s React SDK for Solid. Providing developers with a great foundation for building awesome, quality apps will help establish best practices for Solid development. We want to build something in collaboration with the community - which is critical for us all, and will be instrumental in the evolution of the codebase.
We started with React based on its relative popularity in the Solid developer community, but we fully intend to create or collaborate on SDKs for other major frameworks too.
Our first code release will be in the next couple of weeks, but we’re publishing the README today to provide an overview of what's in the SDK, and a timeline of what you can expect in each subsequent release. We’re aiming to release every few weeks from here on out.
Each release will build on the one before it, incorporating community feedback we get. In addition to what comes in through Github, Gitter, and the Solid forum, we’ll also be interviewing other community members to get their take.
To that end, this SDK is released under the MIT license. It is our sincere hope that developers and community members will join us in making it better.
Tell us what else you’d like to see on the release plan. Please submit issues with any questions or ideas, or let us know if something isn’t resonating. The first code release is only a couple of weeks away!
We look forward to collaborating with you. For our part, we commit to keep creating, evolving and improving this and other open-source tools and technologies for the good of the Solid ecosystem.
Thank you in advance for your feedback.
The team at Inrupt.
