Important Notice: inrupt.net Service Migration
Important Notice: inrupt.net Service Migration
We are excited to announce that inrupt.net is merging into Inrupt PodSpaces, giving you access to the latest Solid features and improved security. All existing inrupt.net accounts will be automatically migrated to Inrupt PodSpaces on March 30th, 2025.
PodSpaces accounts
A new account will be created for all users on PodSpaces, including a PodSpaces WebID. PodSpaces WebIDs use a different format than inrupt.net WebIDs, therefore applications and bookmarks may need to be updated accordingly.
The email address associated with the inrupt.net Pod will be used to create the PodSpaces account. inrupt.net WebIDs created an identity per Pod, whereas PodSpaces WebIDs allow multiple Pods to be registered per WebID. Therefore, if you already have a PodSpaces account associated with an email address, then an additional Pod will be created for that account and associated with the WebID.
If you don't already have a PodSpaces account, we'll create one automatically using your email address as username (with special characters removed and potential numerical suffixes added to resolve duplicates).
Additional Capabilities
PodSpaces runs on the Inrupt Enterprise Solid Server. Accounts hosted on PodSpaces have access to greater performance and scale, as well as additional functionality including Access Grants & Access Requests, The Wallet API, Access Control Policies, and more!

FAQ
What’s Happening to Inrupt.net?
Effective March 31st, 2025 10:00UTC, inrupt.net will be shut down and merged with PodSpaces. PodSpaces will be the single developer offering supported by Inrupt going forward.
Final Date of Operation: March 31st, 2025
Is there anything I need to do to ensure my account is migrated?
In most cases, no. So long as your Pod was used at least once beyond its creation date and there is an email associated with your inrupt.net account. The migration will be automatic. If however you do not have an email address associated with your account, please contact support@inrupt.com. If you have not used your account after its creation but wish for it to be migrated, you must create a new resource on the account before March 30th and it will be included in the migration.
Can I prevent my account from being migrated?
Please contact support@inrupt.com
Will all of my data be migrated?
Resources that will be excluded from the migration include:

- Resources that contain the “%” symbol
- Resources with a .acl suffix (all resources will inherit default access from the Pod)
- Empty /.meta resources
- Containers with no resources
- “/robots.txt” resources
- “/favicon.ico” resources
